And people wonder why we should worry about people with delusional religious beliefs to hold any power whatsoever – because they can so easily believe, and vehemently defend, the outlandish myths of their holy books – of dubious origin . . . it sets up their minds to approach all of reality with the same sense of partial detachment to that reality. It’s a global mindset that can potentially infect the faculty to judge truth from fiction – in any situation.It is an intellectually stunted view.
